- Aug 29, 2018 Hi Imnot4D2, I tested in my environment, when you join a meeting by clicking the “Join Skype Meeting” button, after you join the meeting, hover over the meeting screen, you will see an icon which could pop out the video gallery, you could refer to the screenshot below. When click this icon, you could make the speaker full screen.
- Turn on gallery view. Gallery view lets you see everyone in the meeting at once, instead of just the person speaking. To turn that on, click the tab that says 'Gallery view' in the top right.
- Skype for Business for iOS is a productivity app that brings Skype Meetings, presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, and video capabilities to your iOS mobile device. Skype for Business can be downloaded directly from the App Store. From the home screen on your iPad tap on the App store icon download Skype for Business.
- By default, the Zoom mobile app displays the active speaker view. If one or more participants joins the meeting, you will see a video thumbnail in the bottom-right corner. Swipe left from the active speaker view to switch to gallery view. You can view up to 4 participants' video at the same time.
I`m running Skype for Business on Mac version 16.8.196 and noticed I`m able to share a PowerPoint file during a Skype meeting.
How do I create a meeting in Skype? Starting your meeting is as easy as signing in to Skype and selecting the Meet Now button. You'll get a call link and a Share invite button to easily to invite others. Once you're ready, set your call to audio or video and select the Start call button. You can also create a meeting directly from the web.
When we have a look at this comparison table, under meetings support, it still doesn`t show it is supported. But I was pointed at another article which shows it is released end of June.
How does it work
During a meeting when you click on the three dots, you have the option Share PowerPoint file…
Browse to the PowerPoint file which you want to share
And in a few seconds you are sharing a PowerPoint file during your meeting.
One of the benefits of sharing a PowerPoint file in comparison with screen sharing, you can add a video to the PowerPoint file. That way you are able to show a video during a meeting with audio, which runs without any lag.
Update July 24th: Microsoft support lets me know sharing a PowerPoint file is not fully supported. Sharing a file with video has the issue you cannot control the video in the PowerPoint like you are able to do on Windows. A workaround on this is to add the video to PowerPoint and make sure t automatically starts.

Participants can view annotations made on the whiteboard to gather more ideas, discuss the content, and brainstorm solutions.
6) Easy Broadcasting
The Skype Meeting Broadcast lets you broadcast content to over 10,000 attendees and is a perfect solution for conducting webinars. Though you can easily deliver content to large crowds over the internet, you can also reduce the number of attendees to however many employees you have in your organization.
Further, the tool allows you to post recorded video meetings to Office 365 Video. Anyone can join a broadcast using a device with a web browser and can either watch it live or afterward on Microsoft Azure.
You can host conversations between audience members via Yammer and can add external URLs to the broadcast to encourage viewers to take the next step.
7) Polling
Polling helps you enhance collaboration between the participants and the presenter by setting preferences for participants. It also helps you make decisions and take a final call regarding any topic by gathering responses in a group conversation. Additionally, the presenter can choose to either hide or show the poll results.
Thanks to this polling system, you can even gather your audience’s input while they watch a broadcast.
8) Recording and Playback
The presenters and organizers can record various aspects of a meeting, such as audio, video, IMs, handouts, sharing sessions, whiteboards, and more, and everything can be recorded on the go. You also have the option to choose your preferred resolution settings for the recording.
9) Meeting Lobby
The Meeting Lobby allows you to specify who may join and is a perfect solution for any meeting involving confidential and sensitive information.
10) Meeting Content Retention
Skype for Business users can upload a range of content for their business meetings in the form of Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, notes, and more. The retention period for a meeting’s content depends on the kind of meeting:
One-Time
Content can be retained for a period of 15 days from the day the last person left the meeting.
Recurring
These work just like one-time meetings, except the retention timer resets if any other user enters the meeting within the 15-day retention period.
Meet Now
Content is retained for a period of 8 hours.
11) No Mandatory Authentication
Authentication is not mandatory for Skype for Business attendees. If a user does not have an account with the hosting company but has received an invitation, they may join the meeting by signing in with a guest account.
12) Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) Conferencing
As an added alternative, anyone can join Skype meetings by phone with Microsoft’s PSTN conferencing solution, which is useful when there is no internet connection.
Local Dial-In Numbers
A Skype meeting invite contains the dial-in number by which one can easily join the meeting.
